Xavier Guerrero Yamamoto

co-founder of NewFrames

Xavier Guerrero Yamamoto is the co-founder of NewFrames – the International Film Festival of Advocacy – where he leads strategy and development.

An engineer, producer, and builder, Xavier forged his path from industrial engineering in Chile to the heart of international cinema. After training at the London Film School, he became Alejandro Jodorowsky’s right-hand collaborator, producing The Dance of Reality, Endless Poetry, and Psychomagic, while helping one of cinema’s most visionary voices return to the screen.

As co-founder of Cinema Libre (France) and Sunyata Films (Belgium), Xavier has produced projects across borders, formats, and genres.

At NewFrames, Xavier combines an engineer’s precision with a producer’s instinct to build a festival designed to change the conversation—and sometimes, the law.
