Nikki Hexum

Co-Founder and CEO of RSL Media

Nikki Hexum is Co-Founder and CEO of RSL Media, a nonprofit organization developing practical standards for consent, identity verification, and creative rights in the age of artificial intelligence.

Hexum has worked across film, music, visual effects, and entertainment businesses for more than two decades. Her early career included music video production, commercial production, and CGI-driven projects during the digital transformation of the entertainment industry, including work on projects for Tom Petty, Faith Hill, and LEGO Star Wars. She later spent many years working alongside actor Val Kilmer and producer Robert Evans, known for Chinatown and The Godfather, where she saw directly how creative contributions and personal identity can become separated from the long-term value they generate.

She is also Co-Founder and CEO of SKP, a music company built around artist ownership, helping artists retain their masters and participate in the value of the companies they help build.

At RSL Media, Hexum works with artists, performers, rights holders, technology companies, policymakers, and industry organizations to develop standards and infrastructure that make human consent and identity machine-readable. Her work focuses on helping AI systems, platforms, and rights holders better identify authorized use, verify identity, and respect the rights associated with human likeness, voice, performance, and creative works.
