Christopher Weissberg is a French-American politician and entrepreneur serving as a Member of the French National Assembly, representing French citizens living in the United States and Canada. He currently chairs the France–United States Friendship Group in the National Assembly and is a leading advocate for strengthening transatlantic relations, supporting French expatriate communities, and promoting economic and cultural ties between France and North America.

Born and raised between French and American cultures, Christopher spent much of his professional career in the United States. As a restaurateur and small business owner in upstate New York, he gained firsthand experience in entrepreneurship, hospitality, and local economic development. Before being elected to Parliament, Christopher served as Director of International Development at Groupe Bertrand, one of France’s largest hospitality and restaurant groups. In this role, he led the company’s international expansion strategy, developing partnerships and franchise opportunities across North America, Asia, and the Middle East.

In the National Assembly, Christopher has focused on issues affecting French citizens living abroad, including access to education, consular services, social protection, mobility, and economic opportunity. He has been particularly active in representing the interests of French communities in Canada and the United States, working closely with elected officials, consular authorities, and community organisations.
